Empowering the residents of Riverside and San Bernardino County through legal literacy.
Our community deserves to be informed on local issues regarding policy, criminal justice, and civil rights.
We exist to bridge the gap between these complex issues and everyday lives to help you understand your rights and protect your families.
All while building a community rooted in freedom, impact, and justice.
Civil Rights
We inform you of civil rights violations that happen in the Inland Empire. By collaborating with our partners, we also host know your rights workshops and keep you informed about your rights.
Criminal Justice
We expose and explain how the justice system impacts our communities. From police misconduct to knowing your rights. It is pertinent to understand what rights apply to different police encounters and how to navigate them.
Community Policy Report
Legislation doesn’t just live in books; it shapes everyday life. You should know which ones affect you and how. We analyze the unique relationship between local, state, and federal legislation and the Inland Empire, all answering one question.
How does it affect the Inland Empire?
“If you don’t know your rights, you’ve already lost them.”
— Jaz Williams, Executive Director
We can’t always trust a person because they have the authority of a landlord or a badge. Most people believe they will be protected by the law automatically, but the law only works if you understand it. Knowledge is power. Our rights are useless if we don’t know what they are and how to assert them.
